Job Description: 

 

We are currently looking for a QA/QC Mechanical Engineer to join our QA/QC team in a CCGT Power Plant project in Turek, Poland.

 

Your role will encompass:

  • Ensure compliance with all HSE and project quality requirements.
  • Report to the Site Quality Manager and support the construction team on quality issues.
  • Issue and track RFIs and ensure inspections follow ITPs with proper documentation.
  • Prepare Quality Records and report any non-conformities.
  • Inspect incoming materials/equipment and monitor proper preservation and handling.
  • Verify equipment installation, alignment, and calibration certificates.
  • Oversee welding activities, including NDT checks, and confirm installation per P&IDs and drawings.
  • Prepare hydrotest packs and perform hydrostatic and mechanical completion checks.
  • Verify installation of rotating equipment, tanks, and vessels.
  • Update as-built drawings.
  • Manage UDT registration of pressure and lifting equipment, including documentation and liaison with authorities.
  • Participate in final walk-downs and follow up on punch item closure.

 

What you bring to the role:

  • 3+ years’ experience in mechanical QA/QC activities within Power Plants or Oil & Gas.
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards and regulations (PED), including ASME BPVC and BS-EN standards for welding, NDT, and piping.
  • Experience with rotating equipment inspections.
  • ATEX inspection experience for hazardous area installations and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations.
  • Extensive experience with registration of lifting and pressure equipment with Polish authorities (UDT/TDT).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Polish.
