QA/QC Manager

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to join our team, based at our Volos Plant.

Your role will encompass:

A. Quality Management System Leadership

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Integrated Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ASI/CoC, and other applicable standards.

  • Ensure all quality procedures align with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and ESG commitments.

  • Lead internal and external audits, compliance activities, and certification renewals.

  • Monitor compliance with national, European, and international regulations for product quality.

B. Quality Assurance

  • Define and implement quality assurance strategies for raw materials, in-process controls, and finished products.

  • Ensure full documentation and traceability throughout the production process.

  • Collaborate with Production and Procurement departments to prevent quality deviations.

  • Lead risk assessments and preventive actions on quality issues.

C. Operational Quality Control

  • Supervise the laboratory and QC team in conducting accurate tests, measurements, and calibrations on raw, in-process, and final products.

  • Set and monitor control plans, sampling procedures, and key quality indicators (KPIs).

  • Manage non-conformities and lead root cause analyses (e.g., 8D, FMEA).

D. Continuous Improvement & Training

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.

  • Work with the Continuous Improvement Manager to identify and implement quality enhancement actions.

  • Train plant personnel on quality awareness, procedures, and systems.

E. Communication & Reporting

  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, certification bodies, and strategic clients on quality matters.

  • Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to Management, highlighting trends, deviations, and corrective plans.

  • Participate in corporate committees related to quality and compliance.

  • Join Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), client audits (e.g., HNDGS), and inspections by military authorities.

F. Security & Confidentiality Requirements

  • Adhere to protocols for handling confidential information and national defense programs (e.g., NDAs, export control compliance).


Special Projects:

  • Conduct seminars and training on Defense and military quality standards and requirements (e.g., NATO AQAP, MIL-STD, ISO 3834, EN 1090, etc.).


What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mining, Metallurgical, or other relevant technical field).

  • 10+ years of relevant quality experience, including 5+ years in a managerial position.

  • Proven experience implementing ISO 9001 and other relevant certification systems, particularly in Defense.

  • Strong capabilities in lab management, production processes, and cross-functional improvement projects.

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Fluency in English (a second language is a plus).

  • Experience in metals, defense, or energy industries is highly desirable.
