We are currently looking for an Junior Financial Accountant to join our Accounting team, part of our Finance Division based on our premises in Thessaloniki.
Your role will encompass:
- Perform comprehensive financial analyses and generate insightful reports to support strategic business decisions.
- Oversee payment processing activities and manage communications with multiple international stakeholders to facilitate efficient financial operations.
- Support the monthly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accurate reporting.
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets, financial statements, and payment orders, collaborating closely with cross-functional internal teams.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile accounting entries, including balance sheet accounts and general ledger transactions, maintaining data integrity.
- Ensure timely completion of accounting tasks with a strong focus on accuracy and adherence to tight deadlines.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of financial accounting experience
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, General Chart of Accounts, and general ledger functions, including month-end and year-end close processes
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Knowledge of SAP will be considered as an asset
- Strong commitment to deadlines, ability to work under pressure, excellent communication skills, and a teamwork mentality with attention to detail
- Completed military obligations (where applicable)
