We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance General Division team, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Your role will encompass:

• Regular bookkeeping and maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving any discrepancies
• Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations, correct entries as required
• Reconcile general ledger accounts (vendors, banks etc.) and perform month-end accounting activities
• Control of internal reporting on intercompany transactions
• Monthly revision of Taxes (VAT, CIT, Other applicable taxes) in cooperation with the external advisor
• Cooperate efficiently with all related departments to process financial information on time
• Support assigned tasks for month and year-end close. Reconcile accounting records with monthly financial reports
• Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation
• Maintain and review company’s Asset register
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested and help resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Preparation of the accounts of the companies in the process of a potential sale. Support in the due diligence process by providing accounting related information and answers

What you bring to the role:

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required
• Holder of bachelor's in accounting and finance, economics, or another related field
• ACCA/ACA Qualified is considered a benefit
• Knowledge of Bulgarian GAAP accounting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Well organized and able to prioritize and comply with deadlines
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in constant communication with minor supervision
• Professional fluency in English, both written and oral
