METKA ΑΤΕ, as a subsidiary of METLEN, has long-term experience in the infrastructure sector, holding a seventh class contractor’s certificate and now specializes in construction activities, undertaking infrastructure projects such as road construction, certified buildings, railway, marine projects, etc., as well as solid and liquid waste management projects.
We are currently looking for a Site QA/QC Manager Projects in Attica.
Your role will encompass:
- Leads and coordinates QA/QC activities of Project in accordance with METKA ATE’s QA/QC Management System and relevant legislation.
- Coordinates the Implementation of Project Quality Plan and Project Quality System and monitors the proper adherence to procedures to ensure and control compliance of construction projects with regulations, codes, specifications, contractual and quality requirements.
- Coordinates Site QA/QC teams. Performs and promotes training for QA/QC Site personnel and Project Management team.
- Liaise with 2nd party agencies and conducts QA/QC Inspections & Audits to Construction Sites & Subcontractor’s facilities (e.g batching plants, steel structure manufacturers etc) to monitor the compliance with QA/QC Management System, Company Policies, standards, and legislation.
- Provides Technical support and guidance to Project team & subcontractors for effective management of Site Quality issues.
- Monitors (evaluation and technical support) of Non-Conformities. Participates in proposition and evaluation of corrective & preventive actions. Assists in planning of necessary measures to remove QA/QC deviations and non-conformities and to prevent reoccurrence. Follows up on any observation recorded in collaboration with Site team.
- Develops quality documents and forms for Project (Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Control Forms, Method Statements etc). Coordinates and participates in compilation of Project Quality Dossiers in collaboration with Site team.
- Contacts with Client and Authorities on quality assurance & quality control issues of Project where required.
- Coordinates the implementation of evaluation of Project Suppliers & Subcontractors procedure.
- Manages external Laboratories for material testing (soil, aggregate, concrete etc) and on-site testing, according to project Inspection & Test Plans.
- Carries out Technical review of procurement documentation, materials & equipment regarding Quality issues. Coordinates the procedure for Material Evaluation & Submission to Client in collaboration with Site teams
- Participates in Site meetings and meetings with the Client regarding Quality issues when required.
- Preparess QA/QC reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Implements ISO 9001:2015 standard.
What you bring to the role:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in the quality Sector. Experience in Construction industry is a plus.
- Preferably Managers specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.
- Current Construction Quality Control Management certifications.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in External & Internal Quality Audits.
- Sound knowledge and experience in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to identify and intervene in problem areas, well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interface seamlessly with engineering, construction, and operations contractors.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is necessary.
