Site Administrator - Torness

We are currently looking for a Site Administrator to join our team as part of the Grid & Digital Solutions department of the M Power Projects division based in Torness, for the construction of the EGL1, a collaborative effort between National Grid Electricity Transmission and SP Transmission, aiming to transmit renewable energy from Scotland to England.

 

These stations, responsible for converting direct current to alternating current, play a crucial role in the efficient and reliable transmission of 2GW of green energy through a 190km subsea HVDC cable, powering over two million homes in the UK.

 

Your role will encompass:

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all administrative matters on site. 

  • Maintain accurate records including timesheets, delivery notes, permits, site diaries and day-to-day admin duties. 

  • Assists with Coordinating site inductions, training records, and health and safety documentation with the H&S department. 

  • Manage and file site paperwork and correspondence, both electronic and hard copies. 

  • Assist with site procurement of materials and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors. 

  • Support the Site Manager and Project Manager with scheduling and meeting arrangements. 

  • Handle office supplies, stationery, and ensure the site office is well maintained. 

  • Prepare and distribute reports, memos, and site updates as needed.. 

  • Liaise with the Project administrator, clients, and contractors regarding project administration

 

 

What you bring to the role:

 

 

  • Previous experience in a construction or site-based administrative role (preferred). 

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication. 

  • Understanding of construction terminology and documentation is advantageous. 

  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion. 

  • CSCS card (preferred or required depending on site access policy). 

  • Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations is beneficial. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
