We are currently looking for a talented Renewable & Storage Assets Trader to join our fast-growing regional Renewable & Storage Assets Optimization team, part of our Energy Generation and Management segment, based in Bucharest. 

  

You roll will encompass: 

 

  • Responsible for the smooth commencement of the department in the Romanian Electricity market regarding the trading of Renewable and Storage Assets (owned and third-party). 

  • Contact person of the department with the key stakeholders of the Romanian Electricity Wholesale Market. 

  • Participation in the weekend and holiday operation duties of the Renewable & Storage Asset Optimization unit on a rotating base. 

  • Key member of the presence of the department in the Romanian Electricity Market with active participation in conferences, public consultations, and seminars. 

  • Participates in the development of analytic tools to assist the daily operations of the department. 

  • Monitors the performance of the department in the Romanian Electricity Market using data analytics and develops strategies to enhance the department’s profitability. 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or relevant field. 

  • Postgraduate studies in AI/Machine Learning/Data Science field will be considered a plus 

  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in the power market industry at energy portfolio management/asset optimization/trading departments. 

  • Experience in proprietary/asset trading in electricity markets. 

  • Very good knowledge of the regulatory framework for the Romanian Electricity Market. 

  • Able to work under time pressure, dealing with large amounts of data. 

  • Skills and experience in optimization algorithms and data analytics. 

  • Knowledge of at least one of the following: VBA, Python, Matlab, GAMS.
