About the role
We are currently looking for a QA/QC Officer to join our team in New Zealand.

Reporting to Senior Quality Manager, the QA/QC Officer will be responsible for:

- Asist in the delivery of a Quality Management System, aligned with MYT’s Operational Instructions and Procedures and focus on the compliance of Technical Specifications during construction activities
 - Oversee and document all construction subcontractors activities on site to ensure quality compliance
- Document construction conformity with specifications and plans, in line with laws, regulations and safety standards
- Ensure quality engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed
- Provide advice to contractors and construction teams on quality engineering methods and procedures to achieve the construction and production requirements Manage the execution of onsite Inspection Test Plans
- Support inspections and the generation of Materials Acceptance Reports for all goods arriving to site
- Assist in the management of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and the Quality Assurance system.
- Coach and mentor Quality Coordinators from the subcontractors to ensure their understanding and implementation of the Quality Management System on a site level.
- Assisting in inventory management and acceptance
- Support the Quality Lead to ensure the compliance and availability of the final documentation (As built drawings, Quality Assurance Documentation) for O&M.
- Represent Quality Management of MYT during internal and external construction audits, as well as ensure its positive outcome.
- Contribute to lessons learned and further development and improvement of construction methods on future projects
- Assisting with ensuring conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards
- Assisting with ensuring quality engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed
- Reviewing the quality of all materials at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality materials.

About you - Trade School or Bachelor degree in a discipline related to construction or renewable energy, engineering or architecture is preferred.
- Experience in Quality Management/Engineering across the construction energy generation assets.
- Strong team skills.
- Experience in contractual documentation and technical specifications.
- Knowledgeable of Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering and constructability within renewable energy plants.
- Knowledge of regulatory, environmental and safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
- Advanced proficiency in Construction Management Software (ideally Procore)
- Experience working in an international company

To be successful in this role, you will have: - Tertiary qualification or 5 years relevant experience
- Trade School or Bachelor degree in a discipline related to construction or renewable energy, engineering or architecture is preferred.
- Experience in Quality Management within the renewable energy industry.
- Strong team building skills.
- Experience in contractual documentation and technical specifications.
- Knowledgeable of Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering and constructability within renewable energy plants.
- Knowledge of regulatory, environmental and safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
- Advanced proficiency in Construction Management Software (ideally Procore)
- Experience working in an international company.
- Three years of experience in a discipline related to construction and/or renewable energy.
- Estimating or site auditing experience is preferred.
- Photovoltaic installation experience is preferred.
