About the role
We are currently looking for a Project Development Manager to join our team in India.
Reporting to the Senior Project Development Manager the Project Development Manager is responsible for progressing the development activities of renewable projects in India:
Project Development
- Lead the full-cycle development of renewable energy projects (Solar PV Groundmount, Rooftop PV, Wind, and others) from site identification, feasibility studies, permitting, grid connection, and financial close.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental assessments, and grid connection procedures.
New Business Development:
- Support the company in identifying and exploring new opportunities within the renewable energy market, including emerging technologies and new business lines.
Team Leadership & Mentoring:
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical and strategic direction to enhance their development and performance.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders during the project development phase.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Commerce, Science, Law, Engineering (Renewable Energy, Solar, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on Solar PV, Wind, and related technologies.
- Proven experience in the Indian market, with a deep understanding of local regulations, permitting processes, and industry trends.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the
- ability to manage junior staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with experience in supporting business development and client negotiations.
- Experience with new and emerging renewable technologies.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills related to project development and feasibility assessments.
