We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Proposals Engineer to join our Proposals team for Power Plants and Substations projects in Athens offices.
Your role will encompass:
- Analyse Customer's requirements.
- Collaborate with Proposal Manager to prepare the deliverables required in the Sales & Bidding process.
- Understand the technical aspects of the Tender or product being proposed, often working closely with technical experts within the organization.
- Identification of all necessary technical deliverables and potential risks associated with the proposed solutions.
- Preparation of the necessary designs and studies.
- Write and/or edit proposal content, including technical sections and other relevant documents ensuring it adheres to the guidelines provided in the RFP/RFQ.
- Collaborate with other proposals disciplines, departments (engineering, construction etc.), sub-contractors and external consultants to fulfill the tender requirements.
- Ensure that the technical details in the proposal are accurate and align with the client's requirements.
- Evaluate bids from partners, sub-contractors and suppliers and present recommendations to the Proposal Manager and costing manager.
- Negotiate with Customers and Technology providers being responsible for explaining and discussing the technical Proposals in the field of mechanical engineering.
- Prepare detailed technical documents that outline the proposed mechanical solutions, engineering methodologies, and project schedules.
- Ensure proposal submission timelines are met and ensure that proposal documents are prepared on time.
What you bring to the role:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in a similar role or being involved in proposal / tendering /sales procedures or project execution of Energy projects, will be considered as an asset
- Strong Knowledge of mechanical engineering aspects on Energy Projects
- Experience in working with multi-cultural project teams, across different locations and time zones
- Fluency in English is essential
- Knowledge of either French or German will be an advantage
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel on a regular basis to customer and project locations in Greece and abroad
