We are currently seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to join our Data Management Team in the Data Governance Pillar in Athens, Greece.
As a DG Analyst, you will be the link between our Data Engineering capacity and our business stakeholders, supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, testing, and deployment tasks for Data Warehouse releases. As part of the Data Governance Pillar, you will ensure the enforcement of internal procedures throughout the bespoke process.
Your role will encompass:

Participate and lead workshops with business stakeholders, in order to gather business requirements and perform a fit/gap analysis.

Participate and lead the User Acceptance Test (UAT), support activities and act as a point of contact for business stakeholders.

Orchestrate internal business stakeholders with external vendors in Business Analysis and Data Governance Initiatives.

Update and Monitor the Data Governance Platform, ensuring that the Data Catalogue and Data Lineage are always up to date.

Participate in the process of deploying and enforcing policies and procedures that ensure data is used and maintained properly according to Data Governance Framework.

Perform data profiling and database structure research to understand relevant data elements along with their definitions and use.

Collaborate with Data Stewards and Data Owners to ensure that appropriate Data Quality rules and controls are in place within their process.

Implement Data Quality reporting through the definition and implementation of business, data and system related control and remediation frameworks at points of capture to resolve data quality exceptions.

Participate in the development and induction of Junior Business Analysts in the team.
What you bring to the role:
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other relevant fields.
-
5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management.
-
Ability to translate complex requirements into meaningful Function Specification Documents.

Strong communication ability to interact with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
-
Experience in understanding basic SQL coding will be considered a strong asset.

Experience in SAS Data Management Studio and DataFlux Data Management Server will be considered an asset.

Very good use of English language, both written and oral.

Previous working experience of 1-2 years in DWH/BI projects in the energy industry will be considered a plus.
