We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team for the Grid & Digital Solutions department in our offices in Paiania.
Your role will encompass:
· Co-ordination of the mechanical design process
· Reviewing mechanical studies (i.e., HVAC systems design, BMS design, Fire protection, Plumbing/Piping systems and related mechanical building systems) to meet project ,local code, and contractual requirements
· Collaborating closely with project teams in UK and Greece
· Managing the design review process for client approval
· Preparation of RFQs for mechanical equipment
· Co-ordination of sub-contractors and sub-consultants
· Providing technical support to the site team
· Developing, reviewing, and monitoring mechanical works, including associated budgets and schedules
· Assisting with and reviewing estimates for assigned projects
· Making site visits as required
· Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
What you bring to the role:
· 4-5 years of experience in a relevant position (power/infrastructure projects)
· Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
· Previous experience in MEP design process.
· Knowledge and Familiarization of HVAC automation, BMS systems and HVAC system selection
· Excellent knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of other languages shall be considered an additional asset.
· Knowledge and familiarization with European Directives and Industrial Standards such as ASME, EN, BS and ISO.
· Strong knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office, autoCAD.
· Critical thinking & troubleshooting capability.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
