Energy Data Scientist

We are currently looking for an Energy Data Scientist to join our Operations Team of our M Energy Customer Solution Division in our Paiania Offices. 

By joining this role, you will play a key part in optimizing our Power and Natural Gas portfolios. You will develop and enhance load forecasting models, provide insights through advanced data analytics, and ensure regulatory compliance with external stakeholders. Your work will be pivotal in shaping data-driven decisions and improving the performance of our energy portfolios.

 

Your Role Will Encompass:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Machine Learning models for load forecasting in Power and Natural Gas portfolios.
  • Analyzing complex energy data and providing actionable insights to enhance portfolio monitoring and decision-making.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate regulatory reporting to stakeholders (e.g., Ministry of Energy, RAE, DNOs).
  • Developing automation tools and scripts to streamline data processing, reporting, and operational workflows across the energy portfolio.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational improvements.

 

What You Bring to the Role:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Data Science or a relevant discipline is a strong asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in the energy sector or a data-driven role.
  • Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques, especially in time series forecasting, clustering, and classification.
  • Solid data management and data processing abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
