We are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Cyprus, Nicosia.  

By joining this role, you will stay up-to-date and compliant with accounting, tax, and HQs rules, policies, and requirements of the legal entities. 

Your role will encompass:  

• Managing and performing accounting activities (issuing of sale invoices, booking of invoices from suppliers, check and reconcile expenses for all personnel). 
• Monitoring the encashment of receivables, along with payments to suppliers and reconcile bank statements. 
• Preparing accounting reports if/when needed. 
• Assisting the Financial Controller and the Sr. Accountant with preparing and monitoring budgets. 
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts. 
• Supporting the Senior Accountant in preparing tax returns (CIT, VAT, etc.). 

What you bring to the role:  

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 
• 3+ years of accounting experience. 
• Tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, etc.). 
• Financial analysis skills (management accounting). 
• Strong commitment to respecting deadlines and instructions of supervisors/managers, working under pressure. 
• Knowledge of SAP would be considered as an asset.
