We are seeking a motivated Contract Officer to join our Legal Technical Contracts team part of our Legal, Contracts & Compliance General Division, based in Milan. This internal opportunity is ideal for those looking to expand their impact and grow within the company while continuing to contribute to our shared success.
The Associate Contract Officer will support the management and execution of Metka-EGN’s supply contracts and other legal documentation related to the operations of the Italian entity. Responsibilities include assisting with contract implementation, archiving, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of contractual documents, in alignment with internal procedures and compliance standards.
Your role will encompass:
- Develop an understanding of commercial terms and conditions for implemented contracts and knowledge transfer of contract conditions to wider project team.
- Assist with drafting, negotiation, review and finalization of various commercial and supply contracts.
- Assist with the preparation of contracts, contract amendments and variations, overseeing the collection of signatures, delivery and archive of the executed versions.
- Coordinating with the project and legal teams for sign off and execution of contracts and corporate documents (Powers of Attorneys, board resolutions, etc..)
- Assist with the preparation of internal requests for execution of documents.
- Maintain accurate and detailed contract and corporate records, including monitoring and documenting all signatures under collection.
- Developing, improving and maintaining check lists, registers and communications templates as required
- Developing and streamlining processes
- Participation in regular project progress meetings.
- Assist with drafting, preparation, and execution of internal and external correspondence on contractual or corporate matters as required.
What you bring to the role:
- A minimum of 3 years contract administration, secretarial activities, experience within renewables, civil/mechanical/electrical, oil, gas or construction industries
- Organized, persistent and thorough approach to management of legal documents and relevant execution, tracking and archiving.
- Experienced in contract administration, within renewables. civil/mechanical/electrical, oil, gas or construction industries.
- Proactive administration of contracts for early identification of issues
- High attention to detail and accurate document management skills.
- Exposure to contract negotiations/influencing skills
- Exceptional time management skills and highly organised approach to workload management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated high-level judgement as well as experience in analytical problem solving and decision making.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office skills (including Office 365 suite and Sharepoint).
