We are currently looking for a Tax Reporting Lead to join our ΗQ Tax & Incentives division based in Athens.
By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in managing tax reporting processes for Metlen Group, ensuring accurate and timely tax filings while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and compliance.
Your role will encompass:

Monitor and report current, deferred, and global tax in Greece and abroad through preparation and updates of tax reports on a periodical basis for Metlen Group.

Develop tax reporting activities including the collection of data regarding current, deferred and global tax, compilation of tax reports in the context of monthly, quarterly and annual finance processes (rolling forecast, annual budget, business plans).

Support for the tax workings for interim and year-end financial statements.

Prepare tax analytics reports and presentations for the management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on tax matters.

Identify opportunities to streamline tax reporting processes and improve efficiency.

Develop and document standard operating procedures for tax processes.
What you bring to the role:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
-
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) are highly preferred.

7+ years of progressive experience in finance reporting roles. Previous experience in Assurance teams with exposure to tax and audit matters are a plus.

Excellent knowledge of IFRS and good knowledge of Tax.

Excellent knowledge of MS Office and navigation of ERP systems.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.

Very strong oral and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills, both in Greek & English.
