We are currently looking for a Strategy and M&A Analyst to join our team, part of our Strategy and M&A Gemneral Division based in Athens. By joining this role, you will play a vital part in METLEN’s efforts to grow and strengthen its position across its core business segments—Energy, Metals, and Infrastructure (via its subsidiaries METKA ATE and M Concessions)—as the Strategy and M&A General Division looks to expand its team. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the Strategy and M&A team, working closely with the Company’s general divisions and business units, and collaborating with external consultants and advisers as needed.
Your role will encompass:
- Participates in a wide range of transactions (Investments, M&A and strategic transactions, concessions and PPPs) across their lifecycle and provides full support on all aspects of transaction evaluation and execution
- Undertakes detailed and complex financial modelling with respect to the assessment of investment opportunities and valuation analysis
- Conducts commercial analysis and integrates such analysis into financial models where required
- Reviews and analyzes financial, technical, commercial and legal information and assesses the business and investment risks arising from the proposed investments / transactions
- Engages with internal stakeholders and external advisors to reliably coordinate and align the various transaction workstreams
- Prepares presentations and updates for senior management to review progress and approve investments / transactions
Supports negotiations and works closely with all stakeholders on deal structuring and financial offers preparation - Undertakes in-depth research tasks and creates reports with analysis for various transaction and investment opportunities as well as industry assessments
- Monitors developments across the sectors and the geographies where the Company is engaged with a view to identify trends and potential risks
What you bring to the role:
- University degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance or Mathematics with excellent academic background
- 2-4 years of experience in a corporate finance or consulting role
- Strong competencies in financial modelling (including use of VBA tools) and good working knowledge of accounting principles
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in Greek and English, while knowledge of additional languages will be positively considered
