METKA ΑΤΕ, as a subsidiary of METLEN, has long-term experience in the infrastructure sector, holding a seventh class contractor’s certificate and now specializes in construction activities, undertaking infrastructure projects such as road construction, certified buildings, railway, marine projects, etc., as well as solid and liquid waste management projects.

We are currently looking for a Site Engineer-Civil to join our marine projects.
 
Your role will encompass:

• Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
• Overseeing of construction work.
• Supervising of contracted staff.
• Preparing site reports and logging progress.
• Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and timeframe.
• Prepare project execution plans and strategies, which are aligned with the projects’ targets and objectives.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, ensure compliance of quotations and technical proposals received.
• Review technical design constructions, ensure conformity with standards, optimize technical alternatives
• Providing technical advice and solving problems on site.
• Reports to the Construction Manager/Site Manager.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering 
• 2+ years’ experience in the marine construction
• Knowledge of MS Office and AUTOCAD
• Knowledge of any Project Management tool (e.g. MS Project, Primavera) would be considered as an asset
• Basic commercial awareness
• Fluency in English language
• Driving license
• Completed military service (for male applicants)
