Senior Applications Operations Specialist

We are currently seeking a Senior Applications Operations Specialist to join our Delivery Team within the Information Technology & Digital Strategy Division, based in Athens.

 

Your role will encompass:

  • Oversee Application Lifecycle Management, ensuring smooth post-GoLive operations and ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitor application performance and resolve issues to maintain service levels, using feedback and ticket data to propose improvements.
  • Lead incident management at the 2nd and 3rd support levels, coordinating with internal and external teams.
  • Conduct capacity planning in coordination with infrastructure teams to ensure scalable application performance.
  • Ensure security and compliance with Group IT policies, implement recommendations, and participate in audits as the application owner.
  • Guide the team responsible for maintaining up-to-date application support documentation.
  • Foster collaboration across development, infrastructure, and support teams, and act as a key stakeholder during project deployments and post-GoLive support.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation initiatives for operational efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure reliable support for applications and services.

 

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other relevant fields. 
  • 5+ years of experience in Αpplication operations.
  • Deep understanding of Applications Architecture (On-Premises and Cloud).
  • Experience in solution design, development, enterprise application support, and vendor management.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate operational teams.
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools for performance tracking and issue detection.
  • Fluency in English.
