We are currently looking for an Incentives Officer - Accountant to join our Incentives team part of our Group Tax and Incentives Division in our Athens Offices.
By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Group’s Investments through Incentives from European and Greek aid programs.
Your role will encompass:
- Collaborating with the Accounting departments and other Central Functions to ensure the accurate recording and monitoring of expenditures related to investments that fall under national and/or European support programs (e.g., Strategic Investments Law, NSRF, Development Law, Horizon, Innovation Fund, etc. – hereinafter referred to as Development Programs).
- Accounting and financial monitoring of the implementation progress of investments included in Development Programs.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the long-term obligations associated with Development Programs.
- Assisting in the preparation of the investment plan dossier and collecting supporting documents for submitting applications for investment support under Development Programs.
- Monitoring expenditures that benefit from horizontal incentive schemes, such as super-deductions.
- Supporting the submission of applications for project completion, disbursement, and use of incentives (grants, tax exemptions) for investments under Development Programs.
- Preparing and monitoring the annual budget of the Investment Incentives department.
- Managing the process and actions related to the acceptance and signing of contracts, and verifying the acceptance of invoices related to the above.
- Drafting and monitoring related reports on grant disbursements, incentive usage, and the progress of applications on a monthly and annual basis.
What you bring to the role:
- University degree (AEI or TEI) in Economics, preferably in Accounting.
- 4 years of experience in a similar or related role in a large company.
- Good knowledge of accounting (IFRS) and Greek taxation.
- Good understanding of financial statement analysis.
- Desired: Experience with investment evaluation models.
- Excellent command of MS Office. Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is desirable.
- Very good written and spoken English.
- Strong communication skills using modern tools.
