Guarantees of Origin (GO's) Portfolio Specialist

We are currently looking for a Guarantees of Origin (GOs) Portfolio Specialist to join our team in Athens, Greece. 

By joining this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s Guarantees of Origin portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting commercial activities linked to renewable energy certification. 

 

Your role will encompass: 

  • Managing and monitoring the GOs portfolio to meet contractual obligations and sustainability goals. 

  • Coordinating the acquisition and sale of GOs based on market conditions and company needs. 

  • Analyzing market trends and pricing to provide cost assessments and support strategic decisions. 

  • Liaising with internal teams (Trading, Legal, Accounting, Back Office) and external stakeholders (brokers, registries, regulators). 

  • Ensuring accurate tracking of consumption data and verifying certificates with reports from TSOs. 

  • Overseeing submission and follow-up of cancellation requests with registries and authorities (e.g., DAPEEP). 

  • Preparing and maintaining documentation related to transactions, contracts, and compliance. 

  • Supporting reporting, customer communication, and invoicing processes. 

  • Staying updated on regulations, market developments, and best practices in renewable energy certification. 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Environmental Engineering, or related field. 

  • Proven experience in energy markets, preferably with Guarantees of Origin or similar certification systems. 

  • Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and trading platforms. 

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
