Contracts Manager

We are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team, part of our M-Renewables Division based in Spain. 

 

By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing all contractual and commercial activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects, focusing on contract negotiation, management, and risk mitigation to ensure project success through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Your role will encompass:  

  • Lead the preparation, review, and issuance of RFQ packages for various project works (e.g., HV, Civil, Electromechanical Works)

  • Oversee bidder clarifications and ensure timely resolution of queries during the tender phase

  • Manage bid tabulations, commercial evaluations, and ensure alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule

  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors, coordinating with Legal and Procurement teams

  • Oversee contract drafting, review, execution, and ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements

  • Supervise contract addendums, supplements, and variation orders, ensuring proper documentation and management

  • Drive the internal contract approval process in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Project teams

  • Support the Construction team with contract administration, claims management, close-out processes, and lessons learned

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields); master’s or relevant certifications in contract or project management is a plus

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is essential

  • 5+ years of contract management experience in renewable energy or oil & gas sectors, with strong exposure to EPC environments. Experience in utility-scale solar projects is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, administration, claims resolution, and dispute management

  • Strong knowledge of contract law, risk management, procurement practices, and construction-related legal considerations

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels and strong organizational skills to meet deadlines under pressure
