Metlen Energy & Metals is currently in search of a Legal Counsel to advise on international corporate transactions in the renewable energy sector to include advising on corporate governance, due diligence, share sales and purchases, framework agreements and joint ventures. 

 

By joining this role, you’ll play a vital part in our company’s efforts to support the division of Legal, Corporate Transactions, M Renewables, with its global asset rotation transactions. 

 

Your role will encompass:    

  • Support the execution of UK and international M&A and corporate transactions, with a specialization in the renewables sector. 

  • Lead and manage asset rotation transactions under framework and joint venture agreement a. 

  • Provide responsive legal advice and support to the business of M Renewables. 

  • Manage the appointments of external law firms and the fees incurred under those appointments.  

  • Collaborate closely with and provide direct legal support to the Head of Legal, Corporate Transactions, M Renewables. 

  • Deliver timely and commercially focused legal advice aligned with the needs of the business. 

  • Understands the business and the legal systems within which the business operates. 

 

 

What you bring to the role:   

  • Solicitor qualified in England and Wales. 

  • 4+ years’ relevant qualified experience in corporate law and M&A transactions. 

  • Current practicing certificate in England and Wales. 

  • Strong project management skills and ability to work autonomously within set parameters. 

  • Collaborative team player, working closely with Legal Team and business stakeholders. 

  • Clear, structured communication and flexible working to meet global business needs. 

  • Proactive in contributing to team goals, including training and maintaining precedents. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and assist in assessing risks for commercial decisions. 

  • International travel may be required.
