We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join our EPC team.
In this role, you will review, draft, and negotiate EPC contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while minimizing risks. You will advise stakeholders on contractual obligations, support claims and dispute resolution, and maintain accurate contract records. Collaboration with project, procurement, and finance teams will be key to driving effective contract management.
Your role will encompass:

Provide high level, responsive legal advice to meet the business needs

Provide timely legal advice and support throughout the EPC and O&M contract chain

Drafting, negotiation and completion of EPC Contracts, O&M Contracts, subcontracts and supply contracts

To assist the project teams in the management of EPC and O&M contracts and the related supply and subcontracts to ensure that the Company and the counterparties comply with their contractual obligations

Follow systems and procedures within the Legal Team and the business

Assist in formulating the processes and procedures of the Legal Team

Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and reallocate work if necessary, to meet deadlines

Liaise with external law firms to obtain fee quotes and to manage and approve legal spend within procedures to be followed in the Legal Team
What you bring to the role:

- Lawyer qualified in England & Wales.
- Dual qualification in another European country would be an advantage
- Detailed knowledge of EPC contracting throughout the contract chain including tenders, procurement, EPC and O&M contracts, supply and subcontracting.
- Experience of renewable energy projects is essential
- Experience of FIDIC suite of documents would be an advantage
- 2–4 years PQE experience. Experience both in private practice and in-house will be considered advantageous.
