Junior Power Trader

We are currently looking for a Junior Power Trader to join our Energy Generation and Management division in Athens, Greece. 

 

By joining this role, you will support Metlen’s trading activities through market analysis, trade execution, and risk management.  

 

Your role will encompass: 

  • Analyze power market trends, assist senior traders, and enhance trading models. 

  • Execute trades under supervision, monitor portfolio exposure, and contribute to P&L reporting. 

  • Support automation of trade execution, data collection, and risk assessment tools. 

  • Ensure adherence to market regulations and collaborate with compliance teams on documentation. 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in energy markets. 

  • 2+ years of relevant working experience.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), Python, or Power BI is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of energy markets (EEX, Nord Pool, etc.) or prior internship experience in trading is an advantage. 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
