We are currently looking for an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team, based in Athens.

By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in our company’s effort for delivering planned audits, covering the full range of the company’s business processes, and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. 

 Your role will encompass: 

• Participate in the implementation of the annual internal audit plan by developing/ conducting audit procedures assigned per engagement and by using the relevant software tools, in accordance with the international auditing standards  

• Collaborate with business teams (especially in the Energy, Metals and Central Functions) in order to conduct the assigned internal audit procedures  

• Inform the audit lead in a timely manner about audit observations  

• Discuss and document draft proposals concerning corrective actions to eliminate deviations  

• Participate in the follow up audits to verify the implementation of the corrective actions and informs the audit lead about the progress  

• Provide quality deliverables in a timely and efficient manner and properly stores the collected evidence/documents in the digital audit file folders, in cooperation with team members 

• Participate in continuous learning activities to stay abreast with market, regulatory and technological trends  

 What you bring to the role:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Management Information Systems or a related field.  

• CIA, ACCA certificates or relevant Master’s degrees will be considered as a plus. 

• 3+ years working experience as an auditor in an auditing firm or large retail company. 

• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software (SAP) and data analytics tools (Power BI, or other). 

• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. 

• Flexibility to travel in accordance with job requirements.
