The Junior Project Manager Apprentice will support the successful planning, coordination and delivery of the project, while also undertaking a Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn the core responsibilities of project management while contributing to the successful delivery of a nationally significant project.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Assist with daily site operations and coordinate with subcontractors and tradespeople.
  • Monitor site safety and report hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
  • Help with site inspections to ensure work is being done to required quality, specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily site logs, work progress and timesheets.
  • Support in scheduling and planning construction tasks and timelines.
  • Learn to interpret site drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Attend meetings, training, and development sessions as required.
  • Uphold company policies and health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Attend and support toolbox talks and briefings.

What we’re looking for

  • Genuine interest in project management.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take the initiative and solve problems.
  • Good IT skills as well as excellent analytical skills, including strong attention to detail. 
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and a positive approach towards others. Should something not seem right, you will have the confidence to challenge what you see.
  • You will be confident in asking questions, seeking clarity, and following up matters to ensure progress.
  • Physically fit (able to walk the site and climb a ladder if necessary).
  • Excellent time management– you will be able to manage different tasks at the same time.

Qualifications Required

  • The right to work in the United Kingdom (without sponsorship)
  • Able to write and speak English.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Minimum requirement of English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 / C or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.

This apprenticeship is suited to someone who can work effectively as part of a team, as well as safely on their own under minimum supervision.

You’ll be self-motivated, organised and have excellent communication skills.

And you’ll have the desire to constantly identify better ways of working, plus the confidence to challenge how things are being done when necessary.
