As an Apprentice HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Advisor you’ll be working as part of the site HSE team. You will help embed a culture that ensures everyone is able to return home unharmed every day, while also protecting and enhancing the environment.
This will be achieved by inspiring and influencing others to see the benefit of working responsibly, understanding the legal framework and showing how safety, health and environmental management can enhance operational activities.
Roles and responsibilities
· Develop and review safe systems of work.
· Undertake site visits to check the implementation of site safety standards.
· Deliver training (e.g. toolbox talks and inductions).
· Investigate incidents.
· Analyse incident and near-miss data, and present findings to the management team.
· Answer incoming calls, respond to emails and assist with basic administrative duties including accurately maintaining manual and computerised records; both manual and computerised.

This apprenticeship is suited to someone who can work effectively as part of a team, as well as safely on their own under minimum supervision.
You’ll be self-motivated, organised and have excellent communication skills.
And you’ll have the desire to constantly identify better ways of working, plus the confidence to challenge how things are being done when necessary.
