Metlen Energy and Metals is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our M Renewables team in Canada. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting project execution by coordinating project tasks and assisting the Project Manager in successfully delivering the project on time and on budget.
Your Role Will Encompass:
- Coordinate job execution with multiple stakeholders including the Utility, EPCs, Owner’s Engineers, and other AHJs.
- Maintain project documentation including permits and engineering documents. Ensure that the required documents are obtainaed, organized, and filed correctl.
- Create and maintain project schedules including milestones, deadlines, and progress for accurate project tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate with vendors to log payments and purchase orders in an accurate manner to support maintaining the budget.
- Track project progress and performance to internal and external requirements.
- Keep meeting minutes and follow-up actions to support project progression.
- Conduct site visits occasionally to review the progress from the site and meet with project stakeholders and partners.
What you Bring to the Role:
- 2+ years of project coordination experience, preferably in the Renewable Energy industry; PMP designation is an asset
- Ability to coordinate implementation, provide technical support, and evaluate project progress
- Strong collaboration skills with proven ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders in multiple countries and at all levels
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter capable of operating with minimal supervision
- Diligent, execution-focused, ability to “think outside the box”, team-player, and results-oriented
- Understanding of project management platforms, spreadsheets, and databases
- Experience working in a multinational environment, comfortable and experienced in coordinating with colleagues on a global level and different time zones
- Passion for renewable energy
- Exposure to electricity, power & energy, renewable energy is preferred
- Proficiency in using tools like SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Fluent English speaker. Working knowledge of Spanish and/or French is a plus.
