We are currently looking for an Authorizing Engineer to join our O&M team, part of our ESP Division based in Spain (Caceres/Madrid desirable).
By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in our company’s effort to introduce and implement procedures that will create a safe working environment and secure conditions for personnel handling Medium and Low Voltage operations.
Your role will encompass:
- Design, approval, and supervision of non-scheduled corrective maintenance activities for Medium Voltage (MV) and/or scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Execution of MV corrective/preventive maintenance operations.
- Preparation of Safety documents for equipment handling (Method Statement, Risk Assessment, Switching Schedules, etc.).
- Maintenance of records for scheduled/unscheduled activities in Medium Voltage (MV).
- Management and provision of immediate assistance for the delivery of MV/Low Voltage (LV) maintenance activities.
What you bring to the role:
- 2–3 years in HV/MV switching operations and substations (MV to HV), including skids, switchgear, and preventive/corrective maintenance and troubleshooting. Must have hands-on experience performing MV switchgear manoeuvres in live systems on active projects.
- Candidates from utilities, industrial plants, oil & gas, infrastructure, or renewables are considered.
- Professional training or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Relay protection, HV/MV transformers, Switchgear maneuvers, medium voltage station equipment, electrical diagrams, As-Built documentation, Spanish electrical regulations, safety guideline implementation, IT and HV/MV communication protocols.
- Good English (Spanish desirable), strong organizational skills, valid driving license, availability to travel.
