We are currently looking for an Asset Manager to join our European Asset Management Team.
By joining this role, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the performance, maintenance, and profitability of a company's worldwide portfolio of solar and BESS parks. You 'll be overseeing the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and compliance with regulations and contractual agreements for solar and battery assets across Romania and potentially other EU regions.
Your role will encompass:
- Overseeing a diverse portfolio of solar and BESS parks, ensuring optimal performance, production, and profitability
- Prepare high quality reporting and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Senior Partners and Executives and ensure strategic alignment and clear communication
- Supervise all aspects of operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for solar and BESS assets in cooperation with the in-house O&M department
- Support and assist the in-house EPC department during the pre-COD phase. Leading the PAC and FAC process
- Implementing and overseeing monitoring and reporting systems to track the operational performance of the assets. Identifying and resolving performance issues to maximize energy production and revenues
- Ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, PPA obligations, permits, and regulatory requirements across the portfolio
- Managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing revenue generation. Analyzing financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-saving measures
- Identifying and mitigating operational and financial risks related to solar/BESS asset management
- Building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including investors, clients, regulatory authorities, and local communities
- Be registered as the owner’s representative at the local authorities
- Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations of the projects
- Collaborate well with the rest of the team across Europe and be an inspirational model for the new Asset Managers of the team
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, renewable energy)
- At least 5 years of experience in Asset Management, commercial management, operations or project management within the renewable energy industry in Romania, with a focus on solar energy and batteries. Strong understanding of solar park and BESS operations, maintenance, and performance optimization
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills
- Excellent skills on Excel and PPTX tools
- Understanding of local and international regulations, licensing and permitting requirements, especially in Romania
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiations and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a global and diverse environment
- Fluency in formal Romanian and English; additional languages preferred, especially those relevant to European markets (i.e. Bulgaria)
